Consulting & software
One of the main functions of this towing tank is to give technical
assistance in different fields. These range from the hydrodynamical
analysis of various prototypes, ship power and resistance predictions,
software development for use in hydrodynamics to hydrodynamic
consulting. A CFD program has been developed for the numerical
evaluation of ships, which is used as a tool for the optimization of
ship hull forms to support and reduce the number of experimental tests.
