Naval Architecture Department - Model Basin -
The educational labour of the Model Basin has focused for many years in the students performing experiments in ship hydrodynamics. These experiments are made by groups of 5 or 6 people. The experiments are:
In the accomplishment of our tasks, a fundamental part has been done by students close to finishing their degree. Up to now, more than 150 scholarship students have taken part in these works of investigation, which have let them come into contact with research. Also students from european universities have been received here to do their diploma projects in the framework of Socrates and Erasmus programs. Also students of Intercampus program coming from South-America have come to collaborate on different tasks. All of them appear in the hall of fame page. The educational work is also related to the PHD programm of the ETSI Navales. Two
subjets very well conected with the daily activities of the basin are offered every
year: Experimental methods in Hydrodynamics and Mathematical Methods in Hydrodynamics.
In addition, a series of PHD theses have been carried out regarding these matters.
