
Model
tests
The fundamental task of a
model basin is to try optimize the forms
of ships, and to determine its curve of resistance vs speed with the
aim of projecting the propeller and select the ship main engine. Towing
tests have been carried out for various types of ships ranging from
fishing boats, multipurpose boats, ferrys, Ro-Ros to ships for
maintenance of buoys, tankers, etc.... and also high speed vessels,
catamarans and SWATH type vessels.
