SISTEMAR S.A. is a small consulting company specialised in
resistance and propulsion of the ship. SISTEMAR is giving technical
assistance to several shipyards in Spain, among which are UNION NA V AL
VALENCIA and ASTILLEROS DE MURUET A.
SISTEMAR designs, under AESA's request, CLT propellers for them (Anon.,
1997). SISTEMAR is leader in the design of CLT propellers (about 250
have been built in full scale). In addition of having developed the
theoretical basis of the design procedure for this type of propellers,
SISTEMAR has a very wide knowledge of full-scale performance of this
type of propellers and therefore its experience will be very useful for
different WP of this project.
SISTEMAR naval architects have a very wide experience in R&D
activities. The Director is also Titular Professor of Fluid Mechanics
and Resistance and Propulsion of the Ships in the Naval Architecture
Department at Madrid Polytechnic University.
Key Person : Dr. Gonzalo Pérez
Gómez
Gonzalo Pérez Gómez is a Naval Architect and
Doctor Naval Architect, certified by Ministerio de Educación
y Ciencia in 1967 and 1969. He is Titular Professor of Fluids Mechanic
at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales
(ETSIN) of Madrid. He is author of several books related with Ship
Hydrodynamics which have been published by the ETSIN and by the
Association of Naval Architects (Junta de Zona de Cartagena). Actually
there are more than 50 publications, some of them in foreign magazines.
He begun working in ASTANO after graduation as project manager. After
that he has participated in SENER, SATENA, AESA and AUXINAVE. Since
1987 he has been the General Director of SISTEMAR S.A.
